Dr. Ashwani Dhar trained as a physician and spent more than a decade in clinical practice before building technology. The gaps he saw in clinical care were impossible to unsee — patients falling between disconnected systems, research that moved too slowly, and medicine priced out of reach.

He set out to close those gaps with systems, building the solutions one product at a time.

Dr. Dhar served as Chief Medical Information Officer (CMIO) at Cerner Corporation, now part of Oracle Health. He helped drive the development of large-scale healthcare information systems used across hospitals and health systems.

It was here that he learned, first-hand, how software meets the clinical workflow — and exactly where it breaks.

Research was slow and closed to smaller sponsors. Kairos — Greek for the right time to act — is Dr. Dhar's answer: a clinical research organization (CRO) based in Hyderabad that he leads as CEO.

Kairos runs AI-enabled trials, patient recruitment, and real-world evidence programs, opening clinical research to sponsors who were previously locked out.
